The Regent Cottage features an expansive deck with breathtaking views across the dam and rolling green hills — the perfect spot to unwind and take in the tranquil beauty of the farm. Binoculars are provided so you can admire the Brahman cattle grazing nearby and spot local wildlife.
As the sun sets, the skies come alive with stars, offering guests a magical stargazing experience in the clear country air.
Built in the early 1900s, this cottage is the original farmhouse, lovingly restored with fully refurbished interior fixtures and fittings.
It’s a place to slow down, reconnect, and savour the simple beauty of nature.

- Supplies: Kempsey shopping district is within a 25 minute trip. We recommend The L-Bo butcher on Elbow St Kempsey for the best cuts in town and Cellarbrations for a great selection of beer, wine and spirits with ample parking. Coles and Aldi supermarkets along with specialty stores featuring local Kempsey produce are also located in town.

- Stroll the property early morning or at dusk and explore the abundant wildlife and birdlife
- Take a dip in the plunge pool with amazing views over the farm
- Heat up in the Red Cedar Barrel Sauna
- Swim in the freshwater creek when flowing
- Relax on the Regent Cottage deck with a local ale or glass of wine
- Navigate one of the nearby walking or biking trails
- Take a shower outdoors, take in the panoramic district views

The Gallery Farm is steeped in history. The original farmhouse, now The Regent Cottage, built in the early 1900s. We’ve shared a moving poem by John Kelly, offering a glimpse into Australian farm life and the spirit of those who lived here. Take time to wander, reflect, and discover your own piece of Australia’s past.
Kempsey – A Town Steeped in Country Music
Country Music
Kempsey is well known for its strong ties to country music and as the birthplace of Slim Dusty, one of Australia’s most iconic performers. The Slim Dusty Centre, located in Kempsey, is a cultural landmark featuring exhibitions, an archive, and a celebration of the enduring impact of Australian country music on the Mid North Coast.
For The Gallery Farm, the connection to music runs even deeper. Brian Patterson, Brett’s father, spent much of his childhood in Kempsey. A professional musician with a lifelong love for country music, Brian recorded a country ballad based on the words of local poet John Kelly.
🎶 Watch Brian’s music video below for a glimpse into Collombatti’s history, charm, and storytelling through song. His music, along with appearances such as in Skippy the Bush Kangaroo (where he can be spotted playing guitar, second from the left), has been archived in the National Film & Sound Archive and other heritage collections.
This blend of local and family history ties The Gallery Farm to Kempsey’s rich cultural story — a legacy of music, place, and community.
